An awful woman lived with her daughter and stepdaughter in her household.

زنی بسیار بد با دختر و دختر ناتنی اش در خانوارش زندگی می کرد.

 

She possessed feelings of hate for her stepdaughter, Anna.

او نسبت به دختر خوانده اش “آنا” حس تنفر داشت.

 

Anna worked while her stepsister did nothing.

آنا کار می کرد در حالی که خواهر ناتنی اش هیچ کاری انجام نمی داد.

 

On a cold January night, Anna’s stepmother remarked, “Your stepsister desires flowers.

Anna wasn’t anxious to walk through the chilled landscape.

The cold air made her lungs burn.

هوای سرد ریه هایش را می سوزاند.

 

She walked at a slow pace because of the snow.

او به خاطر برف با گام هایی آرام حرکت می کرد.

 

Soon she saw a group of people.

خیلی زود گروهی از افراد را دید.

 

It consisted of twelve men.

آن گروه متشکل از دوازده مرد بود.

 

Anna told them about the flowers.

آنا ماجرای گل ها را برای آنها تعریف کرد.

 

One of the man said they were the twelve months and that they would help Anna.

یکی از آن مردان گفت آن ها دوازده ماه هستند که به آنا کمک خواهند کرد.

 

January walked to her and made a motion with his hand.

ماه ژانویه به سمت او رفت و با دستش حرکتی انجام داد.

 

The days of the month passed rapidly until it was February’s turn.

روزهای این ماه به سرعت سپری شد تا این که نوبت به ماه فوریه رسید.

 

February also made the month speed up.

ماه فوریه نیز کاری کرد تا این ماه به سرعت طی شود.

 

Then March made the sun shine and flowers grew in the field.

ماه مارس خورشید را به درخشش واداشت و گل ها در صحرا روییدند.

 

Anna loaded her basket with so many flowers that she could hardly lift it.

آنا آنقدر سبدش را از گل پر کرد که به سختی می توانست آنرا بلند کند.

 

Then she gave a quick but polite “ thank you” to the twelve men and returned home.

سپس سریع اما مودبانه از آن دوازده تشکر کرد و به خانه برگشت.

 

She was very eager to show her stepmother all the flowers.

او خیلی مشتاق بود تا به نا مادری اش همه این گل ها را نشان دهد.

 

Back at the house, she spilled the flowers onto the table.

وقتی به خانه بازگشت گل ها را روی زمین ریخت.

 

Then she told her stepmother about the twelve men.

بعد به نا مادری اش درباره آن دوازده مرد گفت.

 

Anna’s stepmother and stepsister went to seek the twelve months.

نا مادری و خواهر ناتنی آنا رفتند تا آن دوازده ماه را پیدا کنند.

 

Their intent was to ask for gifts.

قصد آنها این بود که هدیه درخواست کنند.

 

They looked and looked.

آن همین طور نگاه کردند.

 

They became very lost and never found their way home.

آن ها به کلی گم شدند و هرگز راه برگشت به خانه را پیدا نکردند.

 

Anna lived happily by herself.
