قدرتِ استفاده درست از زمان

 

 

 

Once there was a boy named Jake who lived in a village far away from the city.

یه پسر بود به اسم «جِیک» که تو یه روستای دور از شهر زندگی می‌کرد.

 

He lived with his parents, his little brother, and his grandfather.

با پدر و مادرش، برادر کوچیکش و پدربزرگش زندگی می‌کرد.

 

Jake’s grandfather was a very wise man.

پدربزرگ جیک مرد خیلی دانا و عاقلی بود.

 

Many people from the village came to him for advice.

خیلی از اهالی روستا برای مشورت پیشش می‌اومدن.

 

But Jake had a big problem.

ولی جیک یه مشکل بزرگ داشت.

 

He was extremely lazy.

خیلییی تنبل بود.

 

He always postponed his tasks.

همیشه کارهاش رو عقب می‌انداخت.

 

If he had work to do today, he’d push it to tomorrow.

اگه کاری باید همون روز انجام می‌داد، می‌ذاشت برای فردا.

 

Then he’d delay it again the next day.

بعدشم دوباره فرداش عقبش می‌نداخت.

 

Day by day, his tasks piled up and later he would feel regret.

روز به روز کاراش جمع می‌شد و بعدش پشیمون می‌شد.

 

Even in school, it was the same.

توی مدرسه هم همین‌طوری بود.

 

While his friends moved forward, Jake was falling behind.

دوستاش پیشرفت می‌کردن، ولی جیک عقب می‌موند.

 

No matter how much his dad scolded him, he didn’t change.

هرچقدر هم باباش سرزنشش می‌کرد، باز تغییر نمی‌کرد.

 

So, finally, his dad asked Jake’s grandfather to help him.

آخرش باباش از پدربزرگ جیک خواست که یه فکری براش بکنه.

 

The wise grandpa started thinking, “How can I help this boy change his bad habit?”

پدربزرگ دانا با خودش فکر کرد: «چی‌کار کنم این پسر عادت بدش رو کنار بذاره؟»

 

One day, he came up with an idea.

یه روز یه فکر به ذهنش رسید.

 

He called Jake and gave him a small black stone.

جیک رو صدا زد و یه سنگ سیاه کوچیک بهش داد.

 

He said, “Jake, keep this stone. This is not just an ordinary rock. It’s a special magic stone. If you rub it against iron, the iron will turn into gold.”

گفت: «جیک، این سنگو نگه دار. این یه سنگ معمولی نیست. یه سنگ جادوییه! اگه به آهن بکشی، آهن تبدیل به طلا می‌شه!»

 

“I’m giving it to you. You can turn as much iron into gold as you want and become rich. I’ll be away for one day. I’ll return tomorrow evening and then I’ll take the stone back.”

«این رو بهت می‌دم. هرچقدر بخوای می‌تونی آهن رو طلا کنی و پولدار بشی. من یه روز می‌رم، فردا عصر برمی‌گردم و سنگو پس می‌گیرم.»

 

Before leaving, Grandpa said, “Remember, you only have until tomorrow evening.”

قبل از رفتن گفت: «یادت باشه فقط تا فردا عصر وقت داری.»

 

Jake was so excited.

جیک خیلی هیجان‌زده شد.

 

He thought, “Wow, I have a magic stone. I can make lots of gold now. I have plenty of time. I’m going to be rich.”

با خودش گفت: «وای! من یه سنگ جادویی دارم! می‌تونم کلی طلا درست کنم. وقت هم دارم. قراره پولدار بشم!»

 

Then he asked himself, “Where can I find iron?”

بعد با خودش گفت: «حالا از کجا آهن پیدا کنم؟»

 

He thought, “I’ll go to the market tomorrow morning and buy some scrap iron. Then I’ll make gold.”

فکر کرد: «صبح فردا می‌رم بازار، یه کم آهن‌قراضه می‌خرم و بعدش طلا درست می‌کنم.»

 

It was evening by then. Jake thought, “Let me eat and go to sleep now. I’ll start everything tomorrow.”

اون موقع دیگه هوا تاریک شده بود. جیک گفت: «بذار شام بخورم و بخوابم، از فردا شروع می‌کنم.»

 

He ate dinner and went to bed, dreaming of being a rich man.

شام خورد و خوابید، با خیال پولدار شدن.

 

The next morning, he said, “There’s still time until evening. Let me have breakfast first, then I’ll go to the market.”

صبح روز بعد گفت: «تا عصر کلی وقت دارم، اول صبحونه بخورم بعد می‌رم بازار.»

 

After breakfast, he started feeling a bit sleepy. He thought, “Let me rest for a while, then I’ll go.” So, he lay down again and fell asleep.

بعد از صبحونه یه کم خوابش گرفت. گفت: «یه ذره بخوابم بعد می‌رم.» و دوباره دراز کشید و خوابش برد.

 

When he finally woke up, the sun was almost setting.

وقتی بیدار شد، خورشید داشت غروب می‌کرد!

 

Jake quickly jumped up and rushed out to go to the market.

سریع پرید از جا و دوید سمت بازار.

 

But as he opened the door, he saw Grandpa had already come back.

اما تا درو باز کرد دید پدربزرگ برگشته!

 

Grandpa took the black stone from him and said, “Your time is over.”

پدربزرگ سنگ رو ازش گرفت و گفت: «وقتت تموم شده.»

 

Jake started crying and begged, “Grandpa, please give me a little more time. I just want to make a little bit of gold.”

جیک زد زیر گریه و گفت: «پدربزرگ، تو رو خدا یه کم دیگه وقت بده، فقط می‌خوام یه ذره طلا درست کنم!»

 

But grandpa shook his head and said, “Lazy people can’t achieve anything in life. You had a full 24 hours. You could have made gold if you wanted. But instead, you wasted your time being lazy.”

ولی پدربزرگ سرشو تکون داد و گفت: «آدمای تنبل تو زندگی به هیچ جا نمی‌رسن. تو ۲۴ ساعت وقت داشتی، اگه می‌خواستی می‌تونستی طلا درست کنی، ولی وقتتو با تنبلی حروم کردی.»

 

“And now I can’t let you keep the stone for even one more moment. This is your punishment. People who don’t value time achieve nothing in life.”

«و حالا حتی یه لحظه دیگه هم نمی‌تونم بذارم سنگو پیشت نگه داری. این تنبیهته. کسایی که قدر زمان رو ندونن، به جایی نمی‌رسن.»

 

Jake stood there with his head down. He understood.

جیک با سر پایین وایساد. فهمید چی شده.

 

He had missed a golden opportunity just because of his laziness.

فقط به خاطر تنبلیش یه فرصت طلایی رو از دست داده بود.

 

But now he had learned a lesson. He promised his grandpa, “I will never be lazy again. I’ll use my time wisely.”

ولی حالا درسش رو گرفته بود. به پدربزرگش قول داد: «دیگه هیچ‌وقت تنبل نمی‌شم. وقتمو درست استفاده می‌کنم.»

 

In this story, Jake had more than 24 hours to go to the market. But a task that would take only 30 minutes didn’t get done even in a whole day.

توی این داستان، جیک بیش از ۲۴ ساعت وقت داشت بره بازار، ولی کاری که فقط نیم ساعت طول می‌کشید، تو یه روز کامل هم انجام نشد.

 

He kept saying, “I’ll do it later. I’ll do it later.” And then time ran out.

هی می‌گفت «بعداً انجامش می‌دم»، «بعداً انجامش می‌دم» تا اینکه وقت تموم شد.

 

That’s just like real life. We often delay our work. “Let me nap first. I’ll do it tomorrow.” But that tomorrow never comes.

این دقیقاً مثل زندگی واقعیه. ما هم هی کارامونو عقب می‌ندازیم: «بذار یه چرت بزنم، فردا انجامش می‌دم» ولی اون فردا هیچ‌وقت نمیاد.

 

So if you want to do something, do it now.

پس اگه می‌خوای کاری انجام بدی، همین الان انجامش بده.

 

Time doesn’t wait for anyone.

زمان منتظر هیچ‌کس نمی‌مونه.

 

If you don’t value time, time won’t value you either.

اگه قدر زمان رو ندونی، زمان هم قدر تو رو نمی‌دونه.

 

That’s why always give your tasks a deadline. You’ll see you’ll finish them faster.

برای همین همیشه برای کارات مهلت بذار، می‌بینی زودتر تمومشون می‌کنی.

 

Or tell yourself, “I’ll do this for just 2 minutes.” You’ll see that small start will carry you forward.

یا به خودت بگو «فقط دو دقیقه انجامش می‌دم»، همون شروع کوچیک باعث می‌شه ادامه بدی.
