Reading
Solving a Problem at Work
Read the text:
When Sara started working at a new company, she was excited about the opportunity. However, after a few weeks, she realized that managing her time was more difficult than she had expected. She had several tasks to complete every day, and she often found herself working late to finish everything.
At first, Sara tried to solve the problem by simply working faster. Unfortunately, this didn’t help much. She still had too many things to do, and she sometimes made small mistakes because she was in a hurry. She realized that working harder wasn’t necessarily the best solution.
She decided to talk to her manager about the situation. Together, they looked at her daily responsibilities and discussed which tasks were more important. Her manager suggested that she make a list of her priorities at the beginning of each day and avoid checking emails while working on important tasks.
Sara followed the advice for several weeks. She also started breaking large tasks into smaller steps, which made them easier to manage. As a result, she became more organized, made fewer mistakes, and was able to finish most of her work before the end of the day.
Looking back, Sara realized that solving a problem doesn’t always mean working harder. Sometimes, the better approach is to understand the cause of the problem, consider different options, and choose a solution that fits the situation.

I had a problem with managing my time. The main problem was that I often had too many things to do, but I didn’t have a clear plan. At first, I tried to work longer hours, but that didn’t really help. I realized that the problem wasn’t the amount of time I had, but the way I was using it.
I decided to make a simple daily schedule and focus on the most important tasks first. I also stopped checking my phone while I was working. This worked because I was able to concentrate better and avoid wasting time on less important things. As a result, I became more organized and finished my work more efficiently. If I faced the same problem again, I would make a plan before starting instead of trying to do everything at the same time.
